New Deck and Landscaping for Monte Vista Rental

By now everyone has heard about the accident Daymond had while working on the new deck for the rental. We are all concerned for him and hope that he improves quickly. He was able to help Ken do some of the work on Saturday. The week before they took out the old deck so they were pretty much ready to install the new one.
Here Ken is making sure that everything is level.

Laurie got the job of painting the wood where the old hot water heater was...before the new one was installed. I was working in the front yard where we took out some old hedges (with Daymond's car and a heavy chain) and other plants and put in some new gardenias, yellow lantana, dwarf peter pan, yarrow, lavendar, and allysum.
On Sunday Kenny and I finished up the deck as Laurie took Daymond back to the ER to be re-checked on his eye injury. Good thing they did and the doctor was very thorough.The deck is finished...except for staining!
