This is looking at the front door from the living room. The subflooring is in, ready for tile and carpet!
This is the front bedroom. Dad picked out the soft yellow for the walls. We painted the ceilings white along with the baseboards and doors.
Baseboards are being installed in the family room (cutout is for an entertainment center).
Saturday night we had a family dinner at Mom and Dads' consisting of spiral ham, sweet potato casserole, rice, asparagus, and green salad.
Emily "got" to sit next to Uncle Dennis, and he was up to his old tricks, as usual! (Doesn't he look the innocent part? Yeah, right!)
Marsha got us started playing the "Association Game" and Katie was having a great time! Actually we were all laughing. (If you say a word like "sun" then people come up with another word to complete the association, like "light"...sunlight. Then you take "light" and they might say "house". And so forth...)
Laurie and Daymond were playing, too!
I think these two might have eaten the whole white coconut cake if they were allowed.
That's not quite 89 candles there!
He blew them out with one breath!
On Sunday we had a nice outdoor lunch at the Slatens, as the temperatures were in the 80s, and took this picture to commemorate the weekend!
Everyone had an enjoyable, relaxing weekend. Thanks to Mom and Dad and the Slaten's for hosting and putting-up all of the out-of-towners! Happy Birthday wishes to Dad, Dennis, and Ken (all within ten days of each other).
