I went to King City to visit with Mom and Dad and the Slatens. We went to Salinas to pick out the tile and carpet for the 3rd Street house, took a quick trip to The Gift Peddler, and then drove to Carmel for lunch at a French restaurant and some shopping at Coldwater Creek. Dad had a doctor's appointment in Monterey that afternoon, then we stopped at Macy's at Del Monte Center for a short time and headed home. Wednesday I had lunch with my high school friends Ruth Anne and Karon. That night I took Mom and Dad to The Grill for dinner. On Thursday we attended the funeral mass for Josie Campos. I would estimate at least 500 attended the standing room only celebration of her life, and the reception afterwords. What a loss for King City and her family and friends.
Here are a few pictures of the 3rd Street Rice House:
Dad and Mom surveying the interior...not cleaned up yet.
On Tuesday, the painters have done the siding which is a light sage green.
Finishing up...
On Tursday they have completed the white trim on the windows.
It is really taking shape now. Love the look of the dark charcoal roof.
The gingerbread and railing on the porch are not painted yet. They had to do quite a bit of scraping on the railings due to many coats of paint!
I left King City on Thursday afternoon and received a call from Sara and Cambria inviting me to join them for dinner and spend the night with them in Clovis. Todd was off the watch Tosh's girlfriend Brittany fight at Lemoore. Check out the pictures from our dinner at Red Robin's.
I went to Fresno on Saturday and was joined by Sara and Cambria for some Christmas shopping and Jamba Juice at River Park. I did manage to get quite a few gifts and have been wrapping this afternoon to try to get ahead of the game!
