Easter in the Mountains 2009

We celebrated Easter with Sara, Todd, Cambria and Carsten from Clovis, and Evan and Kim from Arizona. On Friday afternoon Cambria helped Grandma bake a batch of brownies for our "brownie sundaes" dessert. Her favorite part was licking the bowl...clean!
Evan and Kim met for the first time and got aquainted with their nephew Carsten. On Saturday morning, while Grandpa Kenny and Evan and Kim went to Fresno to get the pontoon boat and put it in the lake, Sara baked her bunny cake for Sunday's dessert, and once again Cambria enjoyed licking the bowl...this time super clean!Satuday night we celebrated Evan's birthday with chicken alfredo, wild rice pilaf, and bacon green beans. For dessert Evan requested Keefer's Bread Pudding and we placed lemon extract infused sugar cubes on top which were flaming when we sang Happy Birthday.
Cambria and Carsten just hanging out...waiting for the Easter Bunny!
Cambria took this picture of Uncle Evan enjoying his birthday...way too much!
Grandpa Kenny took Cambria downstairs for her first time on the treadmill. She didn't like the incline much...she much prefered the flat! The Easter Bunny arrived...big time!Cambria had the egg hunt all to herself this time. Wait until next year!!!The basket was brimming.
In fact it was overflowing...
Opening the Easter gifts. After breakfast we went to church at Sierra Vista Presbyterian in Oakhurst. Cambria enjoyed the egg hunt before the service.Todd joined us (he had gone back home on Sat night to help Brittany with a function at the studio in Clovis) for the afternoon. We dined on a great Raley's spiral ham, lemony asparagus, potato casserole, strawberry pretzel salad, and the bunny cake that Cambria decorated! After her bath and before bedtime Cambria decided she wanted to try one of her hardboiled eggs that she had died...in the end she was too scared to eat it at all! This morning everyone left to return to Clovis and Arizona. Here are a couple of pics we took this morning. What a wonderful visit we had with everyone!!

We hope that all of our friends and relatives had a very special day with their loved ones.
