On Friday we joined friends Larry and Sue Calvino at Fort Washington Country Club for a Russian River Buffet and pinot noir winetasting event. The food inclueded: poached salmon, tri-tip, and chicken, salads and artisan breads, and for dessert gourmet cheeses, salami with white truffles, and strawberries...absolutely wonderful.
Then on Saturday night we had our wine dinner club at the Craft's. We meet four times a year so each couple has a chance to host. We decided to do a Mexican themed dinner with something special to kick off the dinner. The Mexican music welcomed us to the patio for some chips and ceviche, salsa, and jalapeno olives. Each of the couples brought a different tequila for tasting...what fun! All were different.
