Choosing the Right Tree...
We drive down the backside of Bass Lake to North Fork to choose our tree. The boy scouts sell freshly-cut mountain fir trees for $2.50 @ foot. The one we picked is nearly 12 feet tall!

Inside it's warm and festive...
This is how the tree looks now that it is inside and decorated for the holidays!
The fireplace and mantle awaiting the big night!
Our Byers' Carolers also add a festive touch to the great room.
This is the Russian tree with ornaments given to us by the Wrights, those we purchased when we visited them in Moscow, and some from the Cooks when they were in St. Petersberg last year. The master bedroom bedecked for the season.
Snow is expected for this weekend, so we will be all set for Christmas by then! Hope that all the invited guests can make it to my annual cookie exchange on Tuesday!
