On Saturday afternoon we visited with the Cook's for a few hours. That was Carsten's one month birthday and we couldn't believe how much he has grown! Kenny took Cambria to the park while I fed, changed, and held the baby and Sara and Todd spent some time with their friend Shawna in the hospital.

Wine Dinner Group Event
Later that evening we went to the Calvino's home in northwest Fresno for dinner with our group of four couples. We brought the Italian antipasto plate and garlic-parmesan pita chips...served with sparkling Italian Proseco. The Crafts brought a delicious Greek Salad with Avocado, Shrimp, and Caper Vinaigrette (Page 16, March Bon Appetit) paired with a soft Tobin James Pinot Noir wine. The Calvinos prepared cornish game hens, bulgar-rice pilaf, and grilled asparagus/red peppers that went well with a fuller Pinot Noir from Oregon's Willamette Valley. For dessert we were treated to a wonderful bread pudding from a Fresno restaurant, Cracked Pepper Bistro, matched with a great Irish coffee and cream liquor (Sheridans). As usual we all had a great time relaxing and eating! Thanks Larry and Sue.
