Nutshell

In a nutshell here are some thoughts and happenings:

1. Ken is on his way back to Arizona, flying in to Phoenix this afternoon, and we will both be here until March 25.

2. Today is son-in-law Todd's birthday (Happy Birthday, Todd!). He says he is definitely feeling older. Little Cambria asked if I would come to her Dad's party tonight and that they had made an "Earth Cake" (short for Earthquake Cake).

3. Sister Linda came through 3 1/2 hours of surgery just fine and is recooperating in her room at Boswell Hospital here in Arizona. Husband Dave is tired as they had to be there by 5:45am and his knee is sore and he's hungry! I know they are glad this is over and they can move on to the healing time for Linda. We all wish her well and know Dave will be a good caregiver.

4. We had insulation blown into our garage attic to help keep it cooler in the summer since we are storing a car in there.

5. I took charge of buying the tile, carpet, mortar, and thinset supplies so we can get started on carpeting the garage this week. Ken wants to keep down the dust and it should be easier to keep clean, too.

6. Glad to hear that Katie is doing so well in school and imparting her expertise to members of the KCHS swim team. Keep up the good work, Katie!

7. Leslie and Frank are making good progress on their wedding plans for 10-24-09 and we are all looking forward to the big day.
