Leap Day

It is our once-every-four-years bonus day today, and our friend and neighbor Bill G's real birthday! K is in Los Angeles for a few days. He drove B's new BMW 740IL down and they are staying with his daughter L and her family. Today K and L's husband are attending an all-day seminar at UCLA on trade with China.

It is beautiful up here and feeling more like spring every day, but I hear it will be cooling off somewhat, with winds on Sat and Sun. Just so it isn't the mono winds that woke us at 2:30 in the morning a couple of weeks ago!

Here are a couple of pics I took this morning of Angel Falls. Alot of water is coming in now and the lake is about 65% full. PG&E is still producing hydro-electric power up until April 1. At that time they slide the boards across the dam and the lake begins to fill for the summer season.

I made the trek down the hill today for my weekly errands and also attended the dedication of a baseball field to Iri Guerra, who I taught with at MV. He passed away from cancer last October just a year and a half after retiring from teaching.

A special sign was unveiled that will be placed at the field where the dedication took place.

Students, faculty, Mr. Guerra's family and friends watched the ceremony.

Two former MV principals who worked with Coach G. - Mr. D and Mrs. W.

Balloons released as a tribute to a friend who is deeply missed by everyone he touched.
