This morning was our Bass Lake Book Club monthly meeting, held at member Beverly H's beautiful home. Eight of our ten members were present and we had all read
Flying Changes, by Sara Gruen for discussion. We enjoyed relating our experiences with horses, which were mostly in our "younger years"and giving our take on the book and its characters. This is the second book we have read by Sara.
Water For Elephants was the first, a wonderful tale about a traveling circus.
We planned for the remainder of the year for books to read and who will hostess. For December we are doing a luncheon at either
The Ahwahnee Hotel or
Tenaya Lodge, depending on the weather at the time.
