Last Friday afternoon Sara, Todd, and little Cambria arrived at the lake for a weekend visit. Cambria enjoyed the antipasta salami so much that she wasn't too hungry for dinner. Todd liked the fresh mushrooms I had marinated since early afternoon.

Cambria had a front row seat on the kitchen island and first dibs on the appetizers. We had stuffed chicken breats, pilaf, and Ken's Alaskan salmon grilled with a seafood rub.

Saturday morning it was time to help Grandma make aebelskivers for breakfast. Cambria liked the "snow" (powdered sugar) and cinnamon sugar more than the "frosted ball", which was what she named them.

After breakfast Cambria wanted to watercolor paint a picture for Grandma. It was of snakes and worms! She has great small-motor coordination for an almost 2 1/2 year old, and knows most of her colors, too.

On Saturday afternoon we journeyed down to Fresno for the third annual Suzanne Cook Memorial Luncheon at Fleming's Steakhouse. It was good to see so many family members and close friends and to remember Suzanne with wonderful stories and toasts.

Alma, Jerry, Nancy, and Todd listening as each person present gave a short synopsis of what was new in their lives and some very nice tributes to Suzanne.

We had a great weekend and hated to see it end. Hopefully, they will be back soon for another visit to enjoy our mountain retreat.
