Birthday and Cards

Yesterday we helped Karen Beringson celebrate birthday number 65! She is older than Kenny now!!! Don took us and their friends Art and Maggie from Grand Forks (they also spend time in Mesa, AZ) for a Sunday dinner to Dillon's at Sun City Grand. It was perhaps the best restaurant we have been to down here. They had great pecan-wood smoked baby back ribs, the service was great and the food came quickly, plus the ambiance of being right on the golf course couldn't be ignored either...it was raining so we watched the torrents come and go as well as the ducks and geese.

We then went back to the Beringson's and visited (the guys played cut-throat Cribbage) until Art and Maggie decided it was time to make the trek back to Mesa. Then the guys challenged us girls to Whist...of course we couldn't resist....and won the first game. All that card playing made us hungry. It took a while, but we decided we wanted pizza. Then we had to find a pizza place that delivered to Corte Bella. Needless to say, more cards ensued (the guys had to play with their form of Whist that they like...so they won) before our late night repast.

All in all, it was a fun day. Happy Birthday Karen and many more.
