Today was my day to head to Fresno for my weekly shopping trip. Stops made were Coldwater Creek where I found a Christmas sweater for next year on sale; Talbots for new slippers, also on sale; Whole Foods for Tazo Chai Tea (for Kenny); Michaels for some after Christmas sale items and watercolor paint; Office Max for a case of copy paper, inkjet refills, etc; COSTCO for a few items and then back up the hill (with a short stop in Oakhurst at Raley's for a few groceries). I fixed shrimp linguine for dinner, which I picked up at COSTCO and a nice fresh salad.
We just finished watching the Fiesta Bowl which was in Glendale, Arizona...about 20 minutes from our second home in Sun City West. West Virginia, the underdog, beat up on Oklahoma (who lost at the same bowl game last year in overtime to Boise State)! As an aside, we are in a pool for all the bowl games and it looks like we are going to win!!! I say we as I did the research and Kenny did the input on the computer.
Tomorrow I need to put all the Dept 56 villages back in their boxes for another year. That will take all day, but then all the holiday things will be put away. I always looks so bare after having all the lights and decorations for a month. It does give me a chance to deep clean and maybe do some rearranging. Now if I can just find all the "regular" decorations I took down and stored!!!
